CSA Opens this week, May 30th!

CSA Pickup # 1: May 30th, 31st and June 1st (Pick Up Thu, Fri or Sat), choose 1 day.

Starting early this year! Mother Nature says open this week:) The Strawberries are amazing, please pick! Fill up your CSA shares! I consider this a “Soft” Opening… as we are lighter on diversity and heavier on a few crops that are overachievers! Our farm store will not officially open with other’s products for sale until Week 2… the breads, baked goods, cheeses, eggs and more. We have theses deliveries scheduled for CSA Pickup #2: June 6th 7th and 8th (which was the planned week 1).

How Does It Work?

Bring your own bags (plastic/mesh for packing greens, and a bag/basket for your share). Please follow signs for CSA parking (drive slow and careful; parents please watch your children). Check in/grab your ticket (listed alphabetically) in the barn/Farm Shop and fill up from around the tables. Scales available for weighing greens. For Pick Your Own, after you check in, proceed to the other driveway for strawberries. This is the only crop that will be located a drive a way, all other pick your own crops will be on main farm near the CSA Farm Shop. Farm friendly staff will be available to assist you at both locations:)

Strawberries are open to the public and not exclusive to the CSA. Blueberries too. Plenty for all! Our pick your own crops allow us to generate extra income so we can continue to do what we love… farm! Thank you for your support!

What’s in a Share? Choose from Strawberries (pick your own), Spinach, Arugula, Kale. If you do not want to pick strawberries, farm staff will do so, for an up charge ($1 extra/quart); please select which option you prefer in your Harvie email. Typically the spring is a lot of greens (and strawberries), then we get heavy with carrots, beets, cucumbers and zucchini and more! The fields look great and we have lots to feed you!

Using the Harvie system. Please select your preferences/make changes prior to CSA pickup. This helps farm staff know how much to harvest… we really appreciate it versus making your selections in Farm Shop. We will do our best to accommodate last minute changes. Thank you for helping us manage what you want (and don’t want!) in your CSA shares.

Spend your farm dollars however you like based on the available harvest for the week. Here’s the breakdown: Mini gets $15/week; Basic gets $25/week; Harvester gets $29/week. If you go over your amount for the week, then your credit card on file will be charged for the extras.

Sample shares, Week 1:

  • Mini… Arugula 1/4 lb; Spinach 1/2 lb; Strawberries 1 quart container; Kale 1 bunch.

  • Basic… Arugula 1/2 lb; Spinach 1 lb; Strawberries 2 quart containers; Kale 1 bunch.

  • Harvester… Arugula 1/4 lb; Spinach 3/4 lb; Strawberries 3 quarts; Kale 2 bunches.

You can spend your farm dollars on just strawberries if you like. Don’t want the arugula or kale, that’s OK!

On a Payment Plan? Here is how it works:

    • At the time of sign up, you paid 25% of the invoice total.

    • The first week of CSA, you will pay an additional 25% of the invoice total + 1 st weeks pickup.

    • And for the rest of the season you will pay the remaining 50% due each week at pickup.
